Maruti Suzuki Unveils Concept Electric SUV eVX at Auto Expo 2023

Maruti Suzuki, the Indian unit of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has unveiled a concept electric SUV called ‘eVX’ at the Auto Expo 2023. This year’s Auto Expo has returned after three years, and Maruti Suzuki is one of the major manufacturers participating in the event. The company has displayed a range of eco-friendly products, emphasizing its vision of committing to “bring new products, technologies, investments and set up new facilities in India.”

The Concept eVX is developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, and designed on an all-electric SUV platform. It is powered by a 60kWh battery pack and “safe battery technology”, and boasts a driving range of up to 550 km. Furthermore, the SUV comes with a host of safety features such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Autonomous Emergency Braking system (AEB), Pedestrian Detection, and Lane Departure Warning system (LDW).

At the Expo, Suzuki Motor Corporation Representative Director and President Toshihiro Suzuki talked about the company’s plans for the new product. He revealed that the new electric SUC will hit the Indian market by the summer of 2023. He also mentioned that the company is investing heavily in their electric vehicle (EV) technology and is looking to incorporate more advanced technologies in the upcoming EV models.

The concept electric SUV will be a major step towards achieving the company’s vision of making India a global hub for electric vehicles. It will be the first electric SUV from Suzuki Motor Corporation in India and is expected to revolutionize the industry. Moreover, the company is also looking to launch more electric vehicles in the future, to further strengthen its presence in the Indian EV market.
